Looking for a therapist who can help you and your child enjoy each other more? Want to make sure that your child has the skills they need to thrive in challenging situations? You’ve come to the right place!
Blair has been supporting families with young children in the Broomfield area for close to 25 years and is the Founder and Director of Early Childhood Wellness Place (ECWP), which grew out of her private practice. Blair has always specialized in working with young children and their families.
During COVID, ECWP had a wait list of over 125 children needing therapy. At this point, Blair decided that more could be done for these families through ECWP. There are too few places like ECWP where clinicians are specially trained to work with YOUNG children needing mental health support! Blair spent time advocating with Colorado Medicaid, RAEs, Legislators, and private insurance companies as part of a collective group of mental health clinicians–pushing for independent providers to be allowed to train new therapists by hosting interns and billing for those services.
In May 2023, ECWP welcomed its very first graduate-level intern–and just like that, ECWP became both a treatment clinic and a training ground for new early childhood clinicians. The intern program has been very successful with new interns starting every year and some joining us full time following graduation.
Blair sees few clients these days, spending most of her time training, supervising, advocating, and enjoying her own family. Blair has built a place where treatment is developmentally appropriate, family oriented, and trauma informed. Our practitioners care about children and their families and go above and beyond to provide the very best care possible.
As a graduate of Fuller Theological Seminary, Blair feels continually blessed in her role working with young children, families, and new therapists. Blair has always worked with therapy dogs, and her current partner, Meri, is a frequent greeter at ECWP. As an interactive and strengths-based therapist, her treatment approach is to provide support and practical feedback to parents and children over the course of their therapeutic journey.
Blair is also an advocate for both mental health and the field of early childhood. Blair is a Co-Founder of the Mental Health Advocacy Network of Colorado (MHANCO) and currently the Board President. Previously, Blair served first as a Member-at-Large, and then as the President of the Board of the Broomfield Early Childhood Council, and is the former editor of the Colorado Association for Marriage and Family Therapists quarterly newsletter. Blair has also worked on the faculty of the Marriage and Family department of Argosy University, teaching Marriage and Family Therapy Theory courses.
