Having positive relationships with ourselves is as important as the connections we have with others. Dylan empowers children to embrace who they are by creating supportive spaces for them to process, learn, and grow. He truly believes this world is for everyone and advocates for inclusion in therapy by meeting clients where they are at in their emotional journey. Outside of sessions, his advocacy involves teaching adaptive ski lessons for children, adolescents, and adults with disabilities. He is passionate about working with children and families as a whole team to help them strengthen their intrapersonal and interpersonal relationships. Dylan uses play therapy to connect with children in a fun environment. He takes into account his own presence as social learning opportunities while modeling what genuine, uplifting interpersonal relationships can be like.
Dylan earned his Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Spanish Language and Literature from the University of Colorado at Boulder before pursuing graduate education. He became a Registered Behavior Technician during his undergraduate experience and has spent over five years working in Applied Behavior Analysis mostly with kids with autism and other developmental disabilities. Through experience collaborating with a variety of other disciplines, he has learned to practice therapy in an open-minded manner to take into consideration all aspects of the kids’ lives. He is currently completing his Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Denver where he conducts weekly individual therapy sessions in one of the campus counseling clinics.
