Our Vision
When children come to therapy, they require specialized care–because they are not miniature adults–and we shouldn’t treat them that way. You take your child to the pediatrician for well visits and sick visits. You send your child to school–to a classroom designed specifically for kids their age. You enroll your child in sports and clubs appropriate for their age and ability because you recognize that kids learn best when adults teach them in developmentally appropriate and biologically respectful ways.
Seeking therapy should be no different. Kids do best with therapists skilled in treating children.
If you have ever seen a therapist yourself, keep in mind that as an adult seeking therapy, several things have occurred: you determined you wanted help, you sought that help by choosing a therapist, you scheduled an appointment at which time you shared what you felt comfortable sharing.
Guess what? None of these things are true for a child coming to therapy for the first time.
A child’s teacher, parent, or pediatrician has identified they need therapeutic help, chosen a therapist, and then introduced that child to the therapist who now seeks to provide assistance.
Early Childhood Wellness Place has been providing specialized child and family-focused, strengths-based, developmentally appropriate, research-based, and compassionate therapy to young children and their families in Broomfield for over 20 years and we are still here. Give us a call or send an email to learn more about how we can help your child and your family!
