Hello! My name is Olivia, and I am excited to join the ECWP as a clinical intern. I am passionate about supporting children and their families through life’s challenges, helping find strength and resilience within all those involved.
My Approach
I believe in a holistic and empathetic approach to therapy, focusing on creating a safe and nurturing environment where children and families feel understood and supported. My work is grounded in evidence based practices, utilizing techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy, and family systems therapy to address a variety of emotional and psychological concerns.
Areas of Expertise
I have an interest in working with children and families dealing with anxiety, depression, behavioral disorders, and grief. My goal is to help my clients develop healthy coping mechanisms, build strong family connections, and foster emotional well being. In all cases, I want to tailor my approach to meet the unique needs of each client.
My Background
Currently, I am pursuing my Masters in Clinical Psychology at University of Denver. My practicum at Early Childhood Wellness Place allows me to apply my academic knowledge in a real world setting, under the supervision of Blair Skinner.
Why I Chose This Path
My journey into the field of therapy was inspired by a commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of children and families. I understand the effect that early experiences can have on lifelong mental health, and I want to be one to help navigate these critical periods with compassion and empathy.
What You Can Expect
When you work with me, you can expect a warm, compassionate, and non judgmental space where your concerns are heard and valued. I am here to support you and your child through this journey, offering guidance and strategies to help your family.
