Hi, I’m Bella Riguzzi (she/her). I have a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Nature-Based Therapy from Naropa University. I specialize in working with children using child-centered play therapy, a developmentally appropriate and deeply supportive approach that allows kids to express themselves, process emotions, and build resilience through the language they know best-play.
My approach is warm, grounded, and relationship-based. I believe that healing happens in safe, trusting relationships, and I strive to create a space where children feel seen, heard, and accepted just as they are. With a background in nature-based practices, I also enjoy incorporating elements of the natural world into my sessions when appropriate, supporting children’s connection to themselves and their environment. This can involve bringing the outdoor world indoors, or simply taking a walk on a trail next to our office building.
I received my Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from SUNY Cortland in New York and spent the next two years working in schools while also coaching multiple sports for kids of all ages.
Now based in Colorado, I bring curiosity, compassion, and creativity to my work. I’m committed to ethical and inclusive care, and I’m passionate about supporting children and their families in navigating life’s challenges with confidence and connection.
Outside of the therapy space, I find joy in music, crafts, plants, adventuring, and a fun board game with good company.
