Hi, I’m Bella Riguzzi (she/her), a therapist in training currently completing my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Nature-Based Therapy at Naropa University. I specialize in working with children using child-centered play therapy, a developmentally appropriate and deeply supportive approach that allows kids to express themselves, process emotions, and build resilience through the language they know best-play.
My approach is warm, grounded, and relationship-based. I believe that healing happens in safe, trusting relationships, and I strive to create a space where children feel seen, heard, and accepted just as they are. With a background in nature-based practices, I also enjoy incorporating elements of the natural world into my sessions when appropriate, supporting children’s connection to themselves and their environment.
I received my Bachelor’s degree at SUNY Cortland in New York as a physical education teacher and spent the next two years having worked in schools alongside with coaching multiple sports for kids of all ages including softball, basketball, fieldhockey, etc.
Now based in Colorado, I bring curiosity, compassion, and creativity to my work. I’m committed to ethical and inclusive care, and I’m passionate about supporting children and their families in navigating life’s challenges with confidence and connection.
Outside of the therapy space, I find joy in music, crafts, plants, adventuring, and a fun board game with good company.
