Hi, I am Maggie Rasmussen, a therapist-in-training completing my graduate degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Regis University. I believe secure, nurturing connections are at the heart of a child’s emotional well-being. I prioritize creating a safe, welcoming atmosphere where kids can be themselves and grow through play.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies from Regis University, and then worked for six years as a teaching assistant in an inclusive preschool that serves children with and without disabilities.Working in a preschool setting helped me to develop a calm, grounded presence when children (and their caregivers!) are feeling overwhelmed, and the ability to respond with curiosity and compassion. I have learned to recognize and celebrate each child’s unique, individual strengths, and I am passionate about inclusion and instilling all children with a sense of worth and belonging.
In my free time, I enjoy running, playing my guitar, and cheering on the Denver Broncos.
