Hello! I’m Kathryn, and I hold a deep belief in the resilience of children and fascination in their inherent capacity for growth. My approach to therapy is client-centered, utilizing mediums such as art and play to facilitate self-expression and enhance the therapeutic process. I also believe that the parent-child relationship is a powerful conduit for healing.
With over fifteen years of experience in ministry, I have worked with children ranging from four months to adolescence, along with their parents. I possess a Bachelor of Arts in Child Development and Family Studies from California State University, Long Beach, and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy from Colorado Christian University. My training includes Child-Centered Play Therapy with a Neurorelational Emphasis, as well as Expressive Art Therapy.
As a mother of three, I understand the complexities and challenges of parenting. Choosing to bring your child to therapy is a courageous decision, and I am dedicated to partnering with you at every stage to help your child thrive. Whether you are seeking parent coaching, therapy for your child, or couples counseling related to parenting, I look forward to collaborating with you.
When I’m not in the office, you may find me running, baking sourdough treats, engrossed in a good book, or enjoying board games with my family.
