It can be hard to know where to start when looking for support for your child. Olivia offers support by providing a safe space to explore all the big emotions your child may be feeling through therapeutic play. She will work with you and your child to develop skills to express those big emotions in healthy ways. Olivia believes that children and adults have the ability to grow and change in positive ways when experiencing a safe atmosphere and an authentic therapeutic relationship. She is passionate about seeing positive change in families as a whole and works to develop healthy connections between family members.
Olivia completed her Master of Marriage and Family Therapy degree at Regis University in 2023 where she was trained in clinical skills. She also completed a certificate in counseling children and adolescents. She worked with children, adults, and families in the Regis Center for Counseling and Family Therapy prior to joining the team at Early Childhood Wellness Place in May 2023. As a marriage and family therapist candidate at Early Childhood Wellness Place, Olivia is supervised by Blair Skinner, LMFT. Prior to graduate school, Olivia earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences in 2015 from Colorado Christian University. As part of her degree program, she studied abroad in Uganda and completed an internship serving vulnerable children and the local community. She has worked in the non-profit sector supporting international organizations focused on child well-being and serving refugees. As a therapist, Olivia is passionate about helping children identify and express their emotions in healthy ways and assisting parents to find and implement tools that work well for their unique families.
