Looking for a therapist that can provide you with the tools you need to help your children be successful in every environment? Do you value being involved with your children’s treatment? Jessica offers highly individualized occupational therapy services that work to bridge the gap between your children and their environments. Her treatment focuses on using your children’s strengths to improve their motor skills, visual skills, sensory processing, cognitive functioning, and social skills. She utilizes a fun, play-based approach that strategically motivates your children to use movements that engage their minds and bodies.
As a Licensed and Registered Occupational Therapist (OTR) from Pennsylvania, Jessica has experience working in several states across the country. She received her bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences while minoring in Psychology, and went on to pursue her master’s degree in Occupational Therapy at Duquesne University. Her devotion for mental health led her to working in a residential treatment center for adolescents with severe behavioral and emotional disturbances from trauma, abuse, and psychiatric illnesses. Additionally, she has experience working in clinics for typically and atypically developing children with learning disabilities and developmental delays.
Jessica has found her role by helping others and advocating for those in need of a voice. She feels continuously blessed to be able to spread her knowledge to families struggling with understanding and supporting their young ones. When outside the clinic, she is usually spending time outside, creating art, or practicing yoga. She is currently pursuing her certification in teaching Yoga and Children’s Yoga.
“The mind is like a parachute. It works best when it’s open.”
“Watching a child makes it obvious that the development of his mind comes through his movements.”
