Are you wondering about your child or family’s struggles? Looking to change patterns in your family to help your child better function? Dr. Robb Mazzant can help to assess, diagnose, treat and consult on services for your child and family. During assessment, Dr. Robb Mazzant will work with your child, as well as with the parents/caregivers, and teachers to determine if your child is struggling with a mental health disorder. Having an accurate diagnosis is important to ensure that the most appropriate, evidence-based form of treatment is provided for your child and family. A typical diagnostic or psychoeducational assessment will take place over two to three sessions, followed by a meeting with the caregivers to explain the findings, the recommended treatment plan, and make sure that you feel comfortable with the information. Additionally, Dr. Robb Mazzant can consult on treatment approaches, as well as how to advocate for your child (for example, how to pursue an Individual Education Plan in the school system).
